Hi to all,
We arrived in Broome on the 18th May, 2 days early. The park was able to fit us in no problems. Not very busy at this stage of the year. Pam & Roger Uppill fellow passangers from the Kimberley Cruise were still here so we had happy hour with them on Friday night. We spent a few days looking round and Pam & Roger arrived back after a few days at Cape Leveque so more fun happy hours and dinner out.

Tom & Anne Wagstaff arrived on the 27th May, so we again had fun dinners and long happy hours. On the 31st the 4 of us headed of to Cape Leveque for 2 nights camping. After nearly 100 km's of gravel dusty rough road we arrived at Beagle Bay. We went looking for The Scared Heart Church with the beautiful mother of pearl alter. We arrived about lunch time and looked for the general store to purchase something to eat but we were out of luck it was closed, so we had water and musli bars instead. To say the church is beautiful inside is an understatement.

From Beagle Bay we continued up the black top to Kooljaman Wilderness Camp. We set up our tents and at 4pm we went to a talk from the local park rangers on the local history.

On Friday morning we went walking on the swimming beach, a long walk over the beach and rocks. Just a beautiful white sand, crystal clear water and lots of different coloured rocks. After a late lunch we headed back to the beach for a swim.

Later in the afternoon we walked down to the west beach for the sunset and to photograph the coloured cliffs, then we headed back to our camp for tea. Saturday morning saw us after breakfast packing up. We
left Kooljaman and travelled over the soft sand track back to the black top and a quick drive into One Arm Point for a very quick look and left for the drive back to Broome.

Monday afternoon Ian and I meet up with Tom and Anne at the Dinosaur footprints at Gantheaume Point, the climb down was a bit steep. Ian, Tom and Anne went down but I stayed at the top after slipping on the rocks. Later we went to Town Beach to look at the full moon rising then back to the park for dinner.

On Tuesday I went of for the day on a Photography Tour/Class. I had the best day learning about my camera and how to look at what I wanted to photograph from a new aspect. At the end of the day I meet Ian, Tom and Anne at Town Beach for more of the full moon.
