Broome Part 3, August

Hi,
This blog is our last two weeks in Broome. We didn't do a lot, just walking each morning on Cable Beach. We did go out to the Broome Bird Observatory for a look. On the way we stopped at a creek and went down to the beach. Then onto the observatory, we tried to get to Crab Creek but the track of sand was just too soft. But we did see lots of sea birds.

The Sea Shepherd mob were in town for a few days taking politicians up to James Price Point for a personal whale watching trip. The Steve Erwin is quite a forceful looking boat.

We also went for a drive to 12 mile, to have a look at the mango shop. We had lunch there, in the car park was this trike, we had seen it around town. What some people do to a Harley, if you wanted it it would only cost round $100,000.

Frilled neck lizard,
Friday nigh fish and chips on Cable Beach again, this Cain was on the beach, someone was very creative.
On our second last Friday we found out that one of the whale watching boats was doing a 2 for 1 price special that afternoon, bum booked out so we went on Monday afternoon instead. What a way to end of 3 months in Broome.

The day Whale watching was the best, we had done this in 1998 at Harvey Bay but this Whale put on quite a display for about 30 or more minutes. We also saw a sea snake but I was not fast enough with the camera. Lovely food all afternoon an we were about 10 miles of shore.
